Local councils are really getting into the Christmas Lights Competitions this year.
Here are a few of the competitions Google is currently showing:
http://www.blacktown.nsw.gov.au/People_and_Community/Awards_Scholarships_and_Ambassadors/2016_Decorate_Your_Home_Christmas_Lights_Competition – Blacktown take it very seriously, with separate wards and champions of champions.
http://www.isaac.qld.gov.au/christmas-lights-competition also have separate competitions for each town in their council area.
http://www.rpspandc.org.au/index.php/events-4/register-for-events?task=view_event&event_id=81 – Roseville public school has a competition that includes most elegant.. Very North Shore.
http://www.lanecove.nsw.gov.au/Community/LoveWhereYouLive/Pages/Christmas.aspx – Lane Cove is nice and simple – love where you live.
http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/mobile/thegoldcoast/christmas-lights-competition-2015-29313.html – Gold Coast is well-organised, specifying that lights should be on between 7pm and 10pm each night for judging.
