FAQ

1. Is it all free?

Yes, membership is free. I just like Christmas, and sharing Christmas stuff.  Just click on Login/Join at the bottom of the left menu. The site will send you an email to confirm membership, to make sure your email is correct.

2. Can I add stuff to the site?

Originally, all members could add all things to the site - recipes, craft, forum posts, blog posts, comments, polls,  pictures, events, listings etc. But then the spammers came, and put rubbish everywhere.

Now, basic members can read everything, vote on polls, add gifts to their Wish List, and write a letter to Santa.

But if you're a good guy, send me a note on the contact page, and ask me to be an Advanced Member, and you can have the full access.

Then, when you're logged in, you can add stuff from the side menu - click on "Create Content". 

3. Are you going to send me heaps of emails if I open an account?

If there's something really cool available, or if something changes radically on the site, I might send an email occasionally.
But I didn't send any last year. Or the year before.I really hate spam.

4. How can it be free?

I'd really like you to buy something from the mall on the Christmas Shopping page.  Or if you see an ad that has something you're interested in you can click on it.

5. How do I make a  Letter to Santa?

When you login, you'll see your account page.

Simply click "Edit" and you'll see a tab heading called "Letter to Santa". You can write your letter there. Hit Save.

You can show others your letter by sharing your address: it's based on your username:

christmas-australia.com/elf/username.

They'll also be able to see your wishlist, if you'd like to drop them a few hints....

5. Terms and Conditions

I really really hate spam. If you spam on your Letter to Santa, or anywhere else on the site, I will simply delete your account.

6. Privacy Policy

I will not share your private information with others.
