Christmas Trees
We have a large green artificial (but realistic-looking) Christmas tree, that gets dragged out from the dungeon each year, and assembled inside the house.
And for the rest of the season, we are continuously trying to prop the Christmas tree up, after it falls over or leans Pisa-like, under the weight of decorations. We've tied it to the stairs, stacked books on the feet, rebalanced the decorations, propped it between the furniture, and still it falls over. Three spindly little plastic legs are useless as a counterweight to a heavy tree. But after buying an outside sun umbrella this year, with a separate cast iron base, I think we have the answer. The cast iron umbrella base will now be the main support for our tree. Haven't checked the size yet to see if it fits, but that umbrella base is the heaviest thing we own, and absolutely nothing is going to knock that thing over.
The in-laws always have a real Christmas tree, bought from the local grocer. It smells great, but drops a lot of needles. But there is a lovely Christmas Tree Shop based in Victoria, with Christmas Tree care tips and online ordering of stunningly beautiful live Christmas trees.
NorthPoleChristmasTreeFarm - with deliveries around the Melbourne area.
And of course, if any of your trees in your garden are at all Christmas-like, you are duty-bound to decorate them with lights and as many water-proof decorations as your kids can make. Three years ago I planted a conifer in my front garden, specifically so I could decorate it at Christmas. It's now a pretty good size, so I'm up for some good decorations this year.
Everything Christmas is an Australian company with both artificial trees, and loads of decorations for your tree.

Of course, if you've taken some pictures of great Christmas Trees, feel welcome to add them to the Christmas Gallery.
